I want something printed but I don’t have a 3D file. Where do I start? You don’t need CAD software. MakerWorld, Printables, Thingiverse, Thangs, Cults3D and GrabCAD hold millions of ready-to-print models, most of them free — download the .stl and upload it to us.
Can I see how it works without uploading anything? Yes — the Print Studio can load a real sample part, measure it and price it in front of you.
The model came as a ZIP. What do I do with it? Upload the ZIP as it is. We open it, find every STL, OBJ and 3MF inside at any folder depth, and add each one as its own part — up to 50 per archive.
What file formats can I upload? STL, OBJ and 3MF, or a ZIP containing them. Up to 100 MB per file.
What is the largest part you can print? The build volume is 256 × 256 × 256 mm. Larger models need to be split into sections and joined after printing.
My model is not watertight. Does that matter? Usually yes — we measure volume from the mesh, so holes or flipped normals can make the quote wrong. We check every upload and flag it.
Which materials can I choose? PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU and PC, plus carbon-filled PLA-CF and PETG-CF. PLA is the default and suits most visual and light-duty parts; PETG and ABS/ASA handle heat and outdoor use better; TPU is flexible; the CF blends are stiffer for functional brackets.
What infill should I pick? 10–15% for display pieces, 25% for general use, 50% or more for parts that carry load.
How is the price calculated? We measure the mesh, then work out how much filament the part actually consumes — its shell plus its infill, not the solid volume — and how long the printer will be occupied. Price is filament cost plus machine time plus labour and handling.
Are prices inclusive of GST? Yes. Every price is in INR and includes GST, and the breakdown shows the GST component separately.
Do I need an account to get a price? No. Upload, configure and price a whole project without signing in.
How do I pay? Checkout runs through Robodium’s secure checkout. The whole project is one order — every part is printed and ships together.
